Gearing up toward Frankfurt Light + Build 2016, we take a look at some of the pre-releases for this year. Known as one of the biggest lighting exhibitions on the calendar, our team are now on their way to discover some of the best innovations in lighting design and we are excited to share our picks for this season. Here is a little teaser of what’s to come, plus details on a recently completed project by Linea Light for the Doha Sheraton Hotel. Mayfair
– designed by Diego Fortunato for Vibia
MAYFAIR is a sleek and contemporary series designed by Fortunato and inspired by traditional billiard table lamps. Available in suspension, table and floor options, this fresh and innovative approach to a classic design incorporates LED lighting and comes in white, black, gold and copper. Flamingo
– designed by Antoni Arola for Vibia
We are excited to announce that FLAMINGO has been awarded the ‘Design Plus powered by Light + Building’ distinction within the Exhibitor Category at Frankfurt Light + Build 2016. This deconstructed lamp is defined by an elegant shape and ethereal illumination, FLAMINGO is designed to project light onto shade and offer a more delicate luminance for interior spaces. Customizable in form, Flamingo has multiple shades in varying compositions and LED lights sources that can be located in different positions, providing lighting effects as required. Flamingo provides an ambient light through a thermoplastic translucent diffuser that has the capability to perform like a spot light thanks to it’s LED light source. Download the product specs here.

Sheraton Hotel, Doha With Lighting Supplied
by LINEA LIGHT
The Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel in Qatar is reinvigorated with light. The recent completion of what is commonly known as ‘The Pyramid of the Gulf’ was guided and supplied by Linea Light. In cooperation with the original architects, Grimshaw Architects were assigned the large scale task and LINEA LIGHT were nominated to consult and supply a range of integrated lighting solutions for this highly complex project. Play Deco

A firm favourite when talking to designers, the PLAY DECO series has been on our radar for some time now, but we are excited to announce a new upgrade that includes warm dimming from 2000K-3000k. The 13W module delivers a CRI of 90 and dims from 3000k all the way down to 2000k. This series is customizable; available in a variety of colours, sizes, and with reflectors of varying degrees. Wireflow Chandelier
– designed by ARIK Levy for Vibia
A new upgrade in the WIREFLOW series, WIREFLOW CHANDELIER is a larger scale and more complex version of the classic point source suspension lamp. WIREFLOW CHANDELIER comes in various sizes and allows a number of compositions that house twenty to forty-two 4.5W LEDs in an ornate design. Download the product specs here.
Quantum

Winner of the Red Dot Award 2015 for its harmonious lines and visual comfort, QUANTUM is setting a high standard for fire-rated, energy efficient down lights. Organic in form, it’s deep optical compartment has soft lines that perfectly compliment surrounding architecture. The recessed light source and optical unit are fit with the F.O. L ™ filtering system that ensures a perfectly clean light beam and visual comfort. QUANTUM is made with a die cast aluminium heat sink for passive heat dissipation.
Dimple
– by Bybeau in association with Climar
New product release DIMPLE is a modular lighting system inspired by reflection. In the day time it’s curved surfaces are mirrored, and in the evening they become transparent guided by the light behind them. DIMPLE is sensitive to its environment and takes on new forms influenced by it’s surroundings. Each single drop is made from hand blown glass and is individually controllable by LED, producing an interactive visual instrument intended to be played and enjoyed.
