City Beach Oval

City Beach Oval, nestled against the backdrop of the stunning Western Australian coastline,  is a sports field used by clubs for AFL and cricket. A recent upgrade to the lighting of the oval allowed for the design to AFL Standard with a 100 lux average on ground, allowing the club to play night games year round on a newly illuminated field with better considerations of player safety and performance. The Dark Licht 1200W Cut off floods proved to be the perfect choice, providing uniform and focussed illumination while also effectively minimising spill light to any of the surrounding areas of housing, and considering the importance of dark skies to the eco-diverse coastal region it inhabits.
